Fishy Wishy

My test prints arrived from Spoonflower yesterday!  Surprisingly, colors look better on the cotton twill than they do on the satin -which is great because the cotton is cheaper.

I'll play with these fish a bit, embroider them here and there, maybe add some pompoms -my newest obsession- maybe throw in some sequins for additional bling.  I've been wanting to do a project called ''Have you hugged your fish today?" ever since my first bite of fried fish from Lake Yirol. I know that makes no sense to anyone but me, but who cares?  It's 2014, the year I don't give a damn.  Maybe it's time you hugged your fish today.

Whoop, Hair It Is!

First doll prototype. What I know:  big hair, embroidered stories, golden boots, re-purposed jeans.

Golden boots on the keyboard.  I've gotta make and start using a pattern. The hair is getting bigger and bigger. The bigger the better. 

Two more, three more, six more and counting.  Hanging out on my desk.
